2017 CCC resolves to stop 1799m airport development, but retain existing runway.
2017 November Central Coast Aviation Hub Master Plan:
- Attachment 8 page 189, to70 Intended 1799m airport has 18,366 properties N65 noise affected (18),
- about 45,000 residents, with 40-B737 flights per day by 2030 (19).
- Approximately 80ha of SEPP 14 and E2 environmental Conservation land to be cleared including WEZ designated fauna corridors, trees south and north of runway to go for 1198m operations (20)
- Stage 2 requires new runway and airport to be constructed. Operations can not be expanded within 88 movement cap, runway too short for most RPT aircraft, Aero Club to get new HQ (21)
- Stage 2 runway extends 80m south making 1276m runway. Runway 1498m long with 150m of RESA at each end. (documents say 240m RESA plan scales at 150m RESA)
- N65 noise contour 30km long and up to 5km wide. From Ourimbah to Lake Macquarie, Wyong and Warnervale to Jilliby. (22 and 23)
- CAPA instructed to ignore Act (24)
- Sydney 2nd Airport assumptions Book has average development time at 11 years (25)

2018 Cr Best third airport rescission motion fails. Transcript of meeting reveals Cr Best does not want to extend or widen runway and does not want to change WAR Act. Public has already been consulted on airport in LEP, Regional Plan and Act review and said NO
