Bushfire Recovery Landcare Greenteams

tackling weeds and restoring habitat together

Do you live on the Central Coast on a semi-rural property and have 0.5ha or more of native bushland? Do you want to assist in conserving and restoring habitat connectivity after the last devastating bushfires?

Are you interested in forming a ‘Greenteam’ Landcare group in your area with other like-minded locals to tackle weeds together on each other’s properties and plant local species of flora?

Expressions of interest needed: Get in touch with us to find out what support we can offer or to find a Greenteam near you.

Cost:  FREE - This program provides support for local greenteams with all relevant advice, training and supplies.

Once your' Green Team' is established, we can provide ongoing support including:

  • Bush regenerator to guide the group at each working bee session (e.g. weed control techniques, plant identification, seed collecting and planting)
  • Green Team Landcare diary
  • Help with planning and managing the weeds in your bushland – including bush regeneration workplan and habitat assessment.

This is a great opportunity to connect with your neighbours and build land management knowledge and skills.
