CEN’s Waterwatch Program and Central Coast Council are inviting local and nearby residents to come along celebrate World Wetlands Day with a bird walk along the wetlands and surrounding areas.
Locally, our coastal wetlands also provide key services in catchments with filtration of water, habitat for migratory birds, wildlife refuges and home of Endangered Ecological Communities and threatened species.
This workshop is part of a larger project being coordinated by Central Coast Council to improve the condition of the Brisbane Water Estuary, which is listed as a Wetland of National Significance by the Australian government.
Morining tea will be provided.
