Where: Kincumba Mountain reserve - End of Island view drive. If you’re coming from Gosford, turn right onto Avoca drive. At the roundabout (Kincumber shops) take the first exit onto Bungoona road. Then turn left onto Kincumber street and continue along to Island view drive. Meet in the picnic area next to mud building.
Cost: Free for Friends of COSS members ($5 donation for non-members)
Track - Yanina Trail via Kanning walk: This approximately 3200 metre (round trip) trail leads to the Colin Watters Lookout which is located 1200 metres to the north east of Honeman's Rock Picnic Area. Fantastic views across Picketts Valley to the coast can be gained from the lookout and this walk passes some impressive examples of Sydney Red Gums, Angophora costata. The intermediate level walk will take around 3hrs and is mostly on a fire trail that is fairly flat.
The Coastal Open Space System (COSS) is a network of reserves supporting natural vegetation that are managed by Gosford Council for a number of environmental and community values. The Friends of COSS group aims to inform and engage our community to enjoy, protect and conserve these important natural areas, now and into the future.
